my sunday 160 offering...

                                            don't know what happened
                                              but i broke down,
                                                rolled my sleeves up,
                                                  and braved the outdoors-
                                                   weeding the garden
                                                      in front of my house
                                                       for the first time this
                                                        year!

Hey, I should have been there with you! We could have told lots of secrets, laughed our heads off then languished on the grass after and had a nice cool drink...LOL
Love you xxxx

That great. Looks like a lot of work. That's one reason why I stay away from weeding...:)

Yep, I hear you there! I am a reluctant gardener, myself. :)

PS - you asked a question in your comment on my 160, I commented back...and now too lazy to write it all again. :)

Beautiful bench Sheri, we had so much rain here in the PNW everything is overgrown, Need to take a page from your book and just thin every thing out.

Nice 160.
I actually gave 160 a try this time around.

Ha ha! It seems like I am always weeding.

Just to let you know, I had to change my blog URL. This avatar links to the new site.

Sounds very motivating. I have yet to breakdown and conquer the front of my house...although I have to admit, my uncle comes out and tends to it some.

Great job. I can't decide if I love weeding or just the end results. Hard work is good for my soul, I know that. Congatulations on the hubby's new job, also. You didn't mention what it is. Must be my 3rd exes Top Secret spy shit, huh?

Sheri,
I wanted to thank you for your really nice comment on my blog. Let's just say I am in the middle...not young and not old. When I worship I feel like I am twenty when I am there, and a bit older the next day. Ha Ha I love to dance before God.

I am a Christian counselor. Maybe that is what you are picking up on as the sage part. That really was one of the nicest compliments I have ever received. I feel kindred with you, too. Thanks for all your comments. It is nice to know someone connects with what I am writing. I can tend to be too deep for some.

Blessings to you,
Tammy

I am back to tell you how much I loved that comment of yours in my blog. You are such a beautiful soul that it moves my heart every time you come by.
Lots of love, sweet sheri!

Sheri, I am taking a week off to do just that.."weed the farm", the whole 3/4 acre. (Also need to do those dammm last year's IRS stuff.)

The sweetest comment I have read in ages was just now, as I read what you wrote on Dulce's blog. You are a deeply loving person, who cares about others--a lot.

And it is a pleasure to "know" you!

I wish I were able to roll up my sleeves and go dig some holes, mow the lawn etc etc... I absolutely loved gardening once but now because of a stupid, pain in the butt back injury I can't do those things anymore.
It is tiring but it's a good feeling once it's all done. Good on you! Oh yeh and a good 160

Sheri,Sounds like you had a busy weekend, tending your garden, but that is therapy in a way...:-)
I loved what you wrote on my blog about your granddaughter...it is always hard when kids hit a certain age and don't have as much time to spend with family...sounds like you have a precious relationship though...the person I was the most close to growing up was my grandfather. I truly adored him...we spent so much time together when I was a kid...and that always meant the world to me. You hold a special place in a young 15 year old girls heart...no one else can fill! :-)

Go Sheri go. We have been tackling this task a little at a time, but the weeds continue to hold serve.

Nothing like fingers in the soil to heal the soul. In fact, some say if you are depressed, force yourself to start something (like gardening) and five minutes later, no depression. Works for me! BTW, thanks for the comments. I could have used the Disney line 'hate those meeces to pieces!' :-)

Wow this background was a bit distracting. Didn't expect that from you. I did respond to your question on my blog post. I have tons of butterflies, but many of them get away.
